"HELP US CREATE CHANGE"

The Vietnam Charity Walk was born out of an unwavering belief in the need for support and care for children living in poverty within Vietnam.

This massive walking challenge will see two friends; Jake and Sean, walk self-supported from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, covering a distance of approximately 2,000km in 60-70 days. A huge undertaking and one that needs YOUR support.

In Vietnam, approximately 4 -5 million children in Vietnam experience at least two deprivations in the areas of education, health, nutrition, shelter, water and sanitation, social inclusion and protection. Living with such disadvantages, approximately 100 children under the age of 5 die here everyday. This is where the Vietnam Charity Walk aims to make a difference.

Walking self-supported , we aim to raise awareness and much needed financial support for two exceptional charities based in Vietnam; Blue Dragon Children's Foundation and the Thanh Loc Project.

BLUE DRAGON CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION

Working with street kids, victims of human trafficking, runaways, kids affected by drugs and HIV, homeless families and child prisoners, they work tirelessly to transform the lives of kids in crisis. At the time of writing, Blue Dragon have;

Impacted the lives of over 50,000 children and families

Rescued 1,316 people from trafficking.

Reunited 736 runaways with their families.

Sent 6,208 kids back to school.

Transformed the lives of over 2,000 children in Hanoi.

THANH LOC PROJECT

Based in the Mekong Delta, the Thanh Loc Project work to provide hope and education to one of the poorest regions of Vietnam. Through the building of houses, schools, toilets, playgrounds, and other infrastructure to provide children with access to schooling, sanitation and an opportunity to grow and flourish, the Thanh Loc Project is giving hope to children in need.

In addition, since 2009, they have provided Student Education Scholarships. This initiative provides full payment of tuition fees, textbooks, school bags, uniforms, and insurance, to children who live in extreme poverty. Giving children access to a basic human right and providing them with tools to lift them out of poverty and into society.

Every cent raised will help to transform the lives of these children, their families and many more, through means of education, vocational training, support and grief counselling, access to food and water and accommodation.

WHAT THE MONEY WILL DO:

$1 provides a full days meal for a child in crisis

$1 brings a victim of human trafficking 1 kilometer closer to home

$15 feeds a family of 4 for a week

$28-$70 provides a child with school education for a month

$120 reunites a street kid with their family
